Hot off the heels of the latest “videogames are evil” scandal, Mass Effect is back in the news with the announcement of the first in a series of DLC expansions. The first episode, titled “Bring Down the Sky” will launch March 10th for 400 MS Points, or about $5 USD, and will introduce players to the previously mentioned Batarian race as they try to crash an asteroid into a planet.

With Mass Effect, BioWare has created one of the most fleshed out and interesting game universes to come along in some time. Fortunately for fans, that universe is due for expansion next summer when the next book, titled Mass Effect: Ascension is released. Author Drew Karpyshyn gives first details.
