We’re getting word of the newest Rock Band DLC a few days early and it’s looking like a good week.

Hot off the heels of the latest “videogames are evil” scandal, Mass Effect is back in the news with the announcement of the first in a series of DLC expansions. The first episode, titled “Bring Down the Sky” will launch March 10th for 400 MS Points, or about $5 USD, and will introduce players to the previously mentioned Batarian race as they try to crash an asteroid into a planet.

The eagle-eyed guys over at scorehero.com are at it again. They noticed the official guitarhero.com leaderboards have been updated with a new entry for “DLC- Classic Rock Track Pack.” Three new songs have also appeared in the individual song scoreboards. So putting two and two together, we have…
Yesterday Xbox.com briefly updated, showing the scheduled Rock Band DLC for the rest of January. The information has since been taken down, but not before the Internet got a hold of it. Preview the Oasis and Progressive Pack inside!
Nightmare Mansion is available now for 200 MS points.
This week’s batch of DLC is eclectic to say the least. We have the Monkees, Sweet and Blink 182 plus a look at the tracks on the February OXM Bonus Disc from Bang Camaro, Freezepop and Count Zero!
It’s scientifically proven* that the best cure for a hangover is Rock Band DLC and this week’s batch is a good one. Back at 2 bucks a track, we have “Gimme Three Steps” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Limelight” as made famous by Rush, and “Hard to Handle” as made famous by the Black Crowes.
The latest batch of DLC for Rock Band has been announced, and well, it’s cheap at least. Songs from 30 Seconds to Mars, All-American Rejects and The Sounds come out Christmas Day for 99 cents each.
