Rock Band Weekly DLC - Disturbing Cheeseburger Edition

It’s a rather eclectic week for Rock Band DLC. On one hand we’re getting a 3-pack of classic Jimmy Buffet and on the other, a 3-pack of new hard rock from Disturbed (or Disturburbed if you’re Microsoft.) Hey variety is always a good thing.



PSN Store Down Until 11PM PST Tonight

If by chance you were wondering why you couldn’t get your fix on the stale two week old content on the PS3, it’s because since 6.00 A.M PST this morning, the store was taken down to do complete the final touches to the highly publicized PSN Store revamp.



Rock Band Weekly DLC - HMX Pack

Upcoming PS3 Firmware Adds Profile 2.0 (BD-Live), Other Goodies

According to the official Playstation blog, PS3 owners can expect firmware upgrade 2.20 within “the next few days” and with it is coming a bevy of internal fixes. The highlight of this upcoming update is of course the BD-Live upgrade for the Blu-Ray function, as it enables new feature such as web-based content and more interactive features.

No Doubt Pack Released for GH3

For those of you that haven’t tossed Guitar Hero 3 aside in favor of Rock Band, there is some new content available. For 500 MS Points ($6.25) you can get a three pack of No Doubt tracks including “Don’t Speak”, “Excuse Me Mr”, and “Sunday Morning.”

Rock Band Getting In-Game DLC Store, “Still Alive”

In the latest 1Up Yours GDC Podcast, the guys mention that Harmonix will be showing off an in-game DLC store next week. No further details were mentioned and the conversation focused more on Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, but it’s good to know that this much-requested feature is coming. Also, “Still Alive,” of Portal fame, has been confirmed as DLC.
