Lupe Fiasco… The Cool.
December 18th, 2007To all of you who’ve never heard of Lupe, you’re missing out. For the rest of you who haven’t been under a rock for the last two years, The Cool is finally here.
Releasing this afternoon, this album is Fiasco’s second studio release, based on a fictional character and song from his first studio album, Lupe Fiasco’s Food and Liquor.
Whether or not your a fan of Hip-Hop music, this album is definitely worth at least listening to. It combines elements from all genres of music in the beats and Lupe’s lyrical flow is more like intelligent poetry than rap music. Joined by artists like Matthew Santos, Snoop Doog, and Pooh Bear, Lupe tells his take on the rougher sides of life and what The Cool really means.
This is one of those albums I think everyone has to listen to for themselves. But for those of you without the patience, I at least recommend the tracks Little Weapon, Gold Watch, Fighters, and Superstar… all of which will undoubtedly be easy enough to find and at least listen to online… and if thats too rough just sm me and I’m sure i can find some way to help out.

Where The Wild Things Are coming to the big screen.
December 18th, 2007I’m sure we all remember a time when we were read Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, Where The Wild Things Are. The book has frightened and amazed children for years and now we can all enjoy it again through a live action / CGI adaption directed and written by Spike Jonze, (Being John Malkovitch, Jackass Movies). The cast includes Catherine Keener, Max Records, James Gandolfini, Angus Sampson, Forest Whitaker, Lauren Ambrose, Catherine O’Hara, Rachel Rivera, Melissa Davis, and Paul Dano. The character of Max is played by Max Records and the seven monsters will be played by actors in foam suits up to 275 cm. tall. The adaption may not be just for kids though, rumors abound that the movie may be too dark and scary for some children, with more mature and intelligent connotations than found in the popular storybook.
The film itself is already in post production but as of now there are no trailers or teasers to speak of. I did however manage to find a pair of screen captures which make me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about an hour of the like…
