March Means Madness
By Dana • About: College, Featured Articles, Sports at 6:37 am on March 20 2008The winner of the ACC championship is UNC. Of course anyone that knows me knows that my husband is a huge fan of UNC. So of course I’m being punished right now. My Maryland Terps just failed me. Again we are banished to the world of NIT. The only good thing that comes out of the UNC winning the ACC is that Duke lost to Clemson.
Oh I hate Duke so much. Last year when Virginia Commonwealth knocked them out of the first round of the tournament I was the happiest woman alive. I felt like I hit the lottery that is how deep my hate is for them.
Anyway as much as I hate to admit it I think UNC is going to take it all. I think that Georgetown may go further than expected. Maybe even the final four.
In NBA I think the addition of Pal Gasol is great for the Lakers. I think they are the team to beat in the west and the Celtics are the team to beat in the east. I love this time of the year. Not as much as I love football season though.
The Raiders acquiring Deangelo Hall for a second round draft pick is crazy and my Baltimore Ravens just sit back and keep picking up special team guys. We really need to do something about our offense and the quarterback position.
I would like to close by saying a few things about Brett Farve. People seem to think I hate Farve. That isn’t true. I just thought that he should have retired years before he did.
Grant it he had an excellent year this past year, but everyone seems to forget the earlier season when everyone wanted him to retire. I just find it amusing. He definitely belongs in the HOF and I would never depute that.
This is my first article kind of short and to the point I promise future articles will have more detail and will geared more for debating.

Also, this is good news for me because I picked UNC on my bracket thingy that I know nothing about.

This year’s tournament was very, very difficult for me to pick.
Al Davis is going crazy(er?) buying up all these players for waaaaaay too much money in the offseason.
I agree he paid Deangelo Hall a LOT!! That is crazy.
Lakers are gonna destroy Shaq and the Suns, Skedoozy! DEAL WITH IT!
