Rock Band Weekly Download - Grateful Dead Pack
By Stan • About: Gaming, PS3, Xbox 360 at 10:19 am on February 29 2008The fine folks at Harmonix have revealed the DLC for next week and it’s a big one, the long-awaited Grateful Dead pack. While we knew about these songs before, what we didn’t know was how they would be bundled. You can purchase each track individually for 160 MS Points ($2) or all six tracks for 800 Points ($10) for a savings of 2 bucks. The pricing falls in line with the 3-pack pricing, but enough with the money talk, let’s get to the music. The all-master pack includes:
- “China Cat Sunflower”
- “Casey Jones”
- “Sugar Magnolia”
- “Truckin”
- “Franklin’s Tower”
- “I Need A Miracle”
Personally I’m not a fan of the Dead, and judging from the initial reaction to the announcement, it seems like most gamers aren’t either. They could have at least given us “Touch of Grey,” a song a few more people have heard. I do like the idea of 6-pack DLC, however. One beer + one new song = Win. Here’s hoping for “Still Alive” next week.
You can preview most of the songs below.
China Cat Sunflower
Casey Jones
Sugar Magnolia
Truckin
Franklin’s Tower
I Need A Miracle

the price for all 6 is even cheaper than normal, right? 3 pack is 440? aka $5.50? so you’re saving an extra $.50 per 3 songs? if you bought two 3packs you’d save 1 dollar over individual pricing, not 2. essentially you’re getting one song free.
sooo… YAY!
My dad will be sooo stoked.
What LN said. The individual tracks fall in line with the same scheme, but the pack is more of a savings.
I am glad that we are saving money and all, and I am also glad that we get 6 more songs instead of the usual 3… but come on, THE GRATEFUL DEAD?! (I’ll be sure to invite grandpa over)
I will be spending the ten bucks since I haven’t missed any DLC yet but lets pray that some modern music comes out soon.
And when I say modern I mean that it was originally released in the last ten years.
I don’t know any GD songs, so yeah…no.
