Guitar Hero 3 for the Mac is expected to ship tomorrow, so what should we expect?

Many of us who have a console have already had a chance to play Activision’s GH3 for over a month, well the Mac community will finally get their opportunity when the Mac version of the title will be shipped. The boxes come with a hybrid disc, PC and Mac compatible, and a wired USB Xplorer guitar. The price will be $79.

There isn’t much in the way of new features in comparison to the consoles. Players will be able to go head to head online against both Mac and PC users which should be fun. Downloadable content will be available, however the details have not been finalized.

The minimum specs are:

The specs are surprisingly high. As it stand my MacBook cannot play the game. The most notable points are the requirement of at least a Core 2 Duo processor and no support for intel integrated graphics. Essentially anyone with a MacBook will be left out of this one unfortunately. If that is the case perhaps you have another platform to try out? As it stands the game is compatible with 6 other platforms.
